Increasing Opening Hours for Pubs/Off Licences

    I'm surprised to see they did not include this in the 4 year plan... keeping the off licences/pubs open later would bring in additional income for the country and lets face it, people in this country like to drink. I personally would like to see this brought in but I dont think the political will is there for it happen...

    (just want to add I have no vested interest in this)

    At the risk of being facile - is this the ultimate Irish solution to an Irish problem -
    "We'll drink our way out of it" !

    Would we not be better off exporting the booze rather than drinking it ourselves?
