on everything in the store. buy one item, pay for any other item 1 cent. this is the best offer I've seen in ages in this shop, they usually do buy two get one free or buy one get one half price.
also online www.hollandandbarrett.ie there is half price on everything

Hi Ronan, what store was this in? Because EVERY STORE should be doing this promotion?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 26 West10th

Is this only online or in store also?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 191 ✭✭Jessica Fletcher

There was an ad on tv tonight for the "Buy one, get one for 1c" offer so I guess it's in all bricks'n'mortar stores?

However the website says everything online is half price until 5pm on Thurs 9th Dec.

No, it's in the shops too. Prices are a bit higher than usual but at 1c for the second item it's a bargain. Just spent €50 - I've enough now to last me into next year. :D:D:D

That would be a good bargain if the stuff they sell actually did any good.

What products are bad? The things i bought are pretty much "do what they say on the tin" products eg multivitamins

is anyone gettting the 1c promotion to work when adding items online to their basket ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 534 ✭✭✭jimmay

no some of the stuff, for example multi vitamins won't go into cart. I sent two emails last few days and heard nothing back. Today I called and although, a great waste of time, I did manage to place manual order over telephone.

Not sure why but id rather have everything half price :)

It says Buy One Get One 1c on the site, but if you look around everything is still half price, so you're still getting the offer really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,168 ✭✭✭TM

Don't think they have them online but they have them in store and the offer originally mentioned in this thread (buy one get another for €0.01) applies in store anyway.

VISA, MasterCard and Maestro only as far as I can see. If your Laser/bank card also has Maestro then you're OK. The specifically do NOT accept VISA Electron or American Express cards.

Don't you mean buy one get one for €0.01 which is practically the same as half price? Not sure if it applies to absolutely everything - there may be some exclusions? I bought stuff there on Tuesday (ILAC store) and that was definitely the offer.

There's no exclusions, EVERYTHING in store is included in the Buy one get one for one cent deal, it doesnt apply online unfotunately, but there's a half price sale online. Also all online sales completed in Ireland are dealt with by the Clarehall store in Dublin.

Fair enough. Wasn't sure that there were no exclusions.

"Half price" is a better deal than "buy one get one for €0.01". You save the princely sum of €0.01 online! :)

I presume that you have some comeback with them on this even if it's hassle you could ideally do without?

I find their Neal's Yard brand muesli, dried fruit, snacks etc. reasonable value even without discounts like this. That's all I really buy there to be honest. I used to love Lifeforce muesli but got pissed off with them being so hit and miss with supply/stocking so gave up on them after mentioning this to them a few times and giving them more than once chance to address the problems.

Of course they are over priced, if you can get something somewhere else cheaper - get it.
I normally buy stuff like nuts in Lidl, Aldi, unless H&B are doing offers like these. Also vitamins, you can get cheaper in boots or tesco but those cheap vitamins wont even have info on their bottle about how many mg actually there is! You could get a bottle of Vit C but you'd need to eat 10 pills daily to fullfill body's needs while expensive vit C in H&B has for example 1000mg, so you don't need more than 1 daily... Same with fish oils, other vitamins.
I get them only on offers, 2 bottles each so I don't need to shop for them for another 4-6 months... then I get ready for another great offer ;)

Offer also applies to chocolate (Green & Black's, yum), all teas, nuts/dried fruit and jam/honey.

Hey guys anyone got delivery of anything yet?

I put in a large enough order on 4 De and still have heard anything since the order confirmation email, also they never charged my credit card:confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭Countdown1982

Hi there, i also put in quite a big order on the 26-Nov. To date i have only recieved part of the order. I called the dublin number on the confirmation email today as i was getting worried:(, as some of the items are Christmas presents. They are to call me back, when they check the order, the reason some items were not sent is because they were out of stock. At the bottom of the confirmation email it does say that Offers are subject to availability!!!:(

They are swamped with orders and its all run out of the one little shop in Clarehall that they are despatchine everything. Part of my order arrived last week and there was a note saying that the rest will be despatched when they have them in stock. They only charged me for what they shipped and included a till receipt within the box. Unless you need something soon, I wouldn't worry about it.
