Photocopy of P45 sufficient?

    Hi,

    I need to sign back on but there was a mix up with my P45, basically my work sent it to my old address, so when I got onto them asking why I still hadn't got it they said they'd send me out a photocopy of it.

    So my question is, does anyone know, if I go into the SW office and only have a copy of my P45 will they accept it or will I have to go to the tax office and get a proper copy of it?

    Think you need the yellow one that says 'Social Welfare' on it? They might have a record of your job termination on their computer already so may not need it?

    The same thing happened to me and I was re-sent a photocopy. I brought it to the SW office, explained what happened and they accepted it. :)
