Anyone know of a GDC registered Dentist working in Southern Ireland, preferably Dublin or within commutable distance.

    Thanks

Hi, I am UK registered (GDC) dentist.

I don't work in South Ireland but have a holiday home in the Wexford area and am a regular visitor to the area.

You can check dentist registrations on gdc-uk.org

I presume there is an Irish Dental Council (UK equivalent) in Ireland?

Salander, are you under the impression that if you find a dentist here who is also registered in the UK (some dentists work part time here and in UK), that you can access the NHS dental scheme while in this country?

    Hi,

No I am not under that impression atall. Re: NHS. I am doing a Uk exam and need to find a GDC Dentist to work with and to sign off on a Record of Experience. They must be registered with the GDC. The IDC will not be accepted this year when previously it was. Not many Dentists or receptionist's want to be getting those sort of questions especially in bust practices/surgeries. Cannot find a list of registered dentists in Southern Ireland on GDC website.

    Thank you for your replies.

Do you think this thread might have gone quicker and been less confusing if you have given some of these details at the start.....just a thought....
