Samsung Galaxy - Meteor WAP settings ?

Evening all....

Got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 about a month ago from CPW on Meteor. All appeared to be well, internet connection works fine. So, I go to register my Google account...the account works as i can sign into it on my PC... However on my phone...."Cant establish a reliable data connection to the Server". I logged on to my meteor to get the settings sent down to my phone, but no settings were available. Tried texting "Settings" to 50047 as suggested, but "your current phone does not support this service"

I've been into 2 CPW shops....one guy gave me a complete pile of bull**** ( you can't kid a kidder ), the other guy just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't have a clue ( I preferred this! )

In my settings, I have DATA and MMS Settings....should I have WAP also ? It's not there at all. Do i need to create it or is it necessary? What seems strange is that I can still connect to Facebook, hotmail etc.... but not Google. I know the are some real phone geniuses ( genii? ) on here, but to me, rooting is something you do in the privacy of your bedroom, so one-syllable-or-less style explanations would really be appreciated.

PS Have upgraded to 2.2 but had this problem before and since

Try the Samsung Config page in my sig below - you want the WAP settings.

Thanks BN....Downloaded the previously non existent WAP settings and that fixed it. Am a bit surprised that the CPW guys in 2 different shops didn't cop it

This may seem stupid but when I try to download setting from you signature link for samsung galaxy s. It complains that I havent inputted correct text. I think it must be the letters in the image but Ive refreshed it loads of times and it still complains evnthough I have the correct letters typed.Any ideas please? I cannot send picture messages or recieve

Keep trying the captcha. Include the spaces inbetween the words. Some of them can be difficult to read.
