can anyone help me please?i dont know whats wrong with me, im just down most of the time and i keep taking it out on my boyfriend who i love (not physically) just moody etc,ive lost all my confidence and i dont even like leaving the house most days.
im 30 and i used to be so outgoing until a couple of years ago, nothing happened though to make me feel like this, it just happened gradually, now its everyday.
i feel like ending it somedays (something i always thought was extremely selfish).im up and down every day and i just hate this helpless feeling, im depressed i guess i dont want to be prescribed pills that will zombify me.how do i get out of this black hole?has anyone else felt like this?theres such a taboo with depression.

You NEED to go to your local gp and tell him/her how you're feeling bottling this up will only spiral you further into depression, please see someone!

not all pills are bad pills :D

Your doctor can give you lots of tips on how to adjust your lifestyle that will help counteract these feelings. They can assess just how bad your depression is and recommend treatment based on this, possibly counselling and they may recommend medication. I know you're a bit wary but at least get all the facts about anti-depressants from your doctor if they think you might benefit from them. I found tablets that work really well for me, I've never felt anyway zombified. I think they just seem to get a lot of bad media. But there are other things you can try first if you're not comfortable. You may think depression is a taboo subject, but your doctor won't and will be very willing to talk to you about your feelings.

As someon who suffered with depression and had to take anti depressants as a result I can assure you you would not be zombified if you are on the correct tablet for you.

You have classic symptoms but thats up to a gp to decide but believe me taking medication to help you through a rough patch is not a bad idea and believe me the pro's far outweigh the con's.

Feeling good and happy again, bascially having your life back is priceless.

You should go see your GP
