Make up Brushes

Ok so I'm putting together my wish list for Christmas and I realise that I need make up brushes! Does anyone have any recommendations?

At the minute I'm using a Mac 190 foundation brush, a powder brush (don't know what brand) and a cheap eyeshadow brush.

I don't really use make-up everyday because I have yet to find a foundation that doesn't look to yellow-orange on me. But when I do wear make up it's normally just foundation, powder, blusher, eyeshadow, mascara, lipgloss and v.rarely concealer.

Can anyone recommend any good eyeshadow brushes? Thanks!

I haven't used the mac 190 brush as I've heard it's not great but macs eyeshadow brushes are brilliant if you're looking to get some good quality ones. I'd recommend:

239 brush (this is THE brush for placing colour on the lid and can pack it on if needed, quite firm and flat so perfect for this but not for blending)

217 brush (great for blending, brow bone highlight or applying a light wash of colour, fluffy so won't place concentrated colour down like the 239 will)

If I was to pick one more eye brush it would be the 219 which is great for small details like the inner corner or for putting shadow under the eye but from what you've described I'd say you could skip that one. The 3 of them are around 22 - 27 euro each in brown thomas. You can see them in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsnMOgObzGM

On a separate note whats you skin tone like? I'm very pale and have pink toned skin like you with redness on my cheeks. I find estee lauder double wear in 1c1 shell fantastic.. you only need a tenny bit for really great coverage, not a hint of orange to it and it lasts so well.

Yeah, I don't find the 190 that good to be honest! Might change it for something else!

My skin is quite rosy coloured. What I find is when I buy a new foundation it's grand for a couple of days and then it starts to look quite yellow. I'm using Mac Studio Fix now in NC15 and it's fine, just a little bit yellow! I might check out estee lauder though.
