To anyone who has any advice to give on this topic!

Basically am doing a research MA in English and have been given the option to progress to a Phd if I make the necessary deadlines and word count etc in my first year.

Have been given a lot of conflicting advice that an integrated masters/phd will not actually stand to me and that I would be better off finishing my MA and then go on to do a Phd.

Am so confused and would love any impartial advice from people who have experience in this area!

    Thanks! :)
