advice for first time porn use!

hi all, am regular boardsie but obviously want to go unreg for this....probably should be in sex/sexuality forum but need to stay anoyomus....

myself and oh are mid 30s, together more then 10 years. found him looking at some porn which i didnt know he did. said he did it irregularly and just liked to watch normal guy/girl sex (none of the kinky stuff). at first i was shocked and upset but decided i would like to give it a try myself....

anyhow went browsing on net and was overwhelmed by the sheer amount/different types etc etc-there really is something for everyone! what i would like is something we could watch together-that can be delivered discretly. saw some on the ann summers website-i presume this kind of thing is not too graphic?? or can anyone recommend any general type of thing or website to buy from? dont want to be feeling inferior with perfect bodies and big fake boobs etc? dont mind some silly story lines but wouldnt like any of that lesbian or group thing-just a meat and two veg type of thing that dosnt demean women.... presume seeing as there literally everything else there must be that type too.

secondly, and not wanting to be too graphic...do we just put it on and watch it or are we supposed to have sex at the same time? am embarrassed even typing this but would like to know beforehand....presume its ok to keep this kind of thing for 'special' occasions and not have to use it everytime we had sex from then on? am just scared 'normal' sex will become boring after introducing something else? please help!

Hi OP. Your main fear seems to be that you will get a video and for some reason not like (or feel compared to) the actors in it... or the action they get involved in might be too graphic for you. I have three alternatives for you all of which would work to allay your fears.

First if you want to start with Porn Lite then why not invest in the “Lovers guide” videos. If memory serves there is at least 4 in the series and I imagine they are old enough now that they are pretty cheap on Mailorder sites or even Ebay.

Nothing in it is too graphic and is a good place to start, and the actors are "normal" people without any crazy model attributes you seem to be worried about and who knows you might even learn some new things about sex. I thought I knew it all, or most of it, when it comes to sex but I can not say I came away from those videos without learning a couple of small new things.

Another alternative worth considering however if you are worried about whom or what you will see in a porno (along with fears of you or him “comparing” each other with the actors) is to consider making one yourself! Simply buy or borrow a few cameras, set them up, and play with your OH for the camera. Then watch them together later.

This can be very exciting even if you simply set the camera up and “go at it” as it were. However I have found that even more fun is to spend time with your OH beforehand writing a script and choreographing what will “happen” in the movie before during and after the sex. The fun and excitement of that alone was worth the trip, let alone when you actually set up the cameras and get down to filming it.

Then after all that you have a porno to watch later which is simply the icing on the cake and you do not have to worry about who the actors in it will be etc. Watching yourselves later and sharing moments of “Oh yes, I remember when you did that, I liked that!” is a lot of fun.

Finally however, worth mentioning if you are determined to spend money on the endeavour is that there is another option than just porn videos. There are many “live camera” sites. The advantage here is that you can chat for free with the people on it, singles and couples, and see them. So you know from the outset who you are getting. Then once you start paying and go “private” with them they essentially do what you ask them. So you know what you are getting. They are just as happy to simply kiss and undress for you as they would be to engage in graphic sex. So if you are worried about getting random videos and finding you do not like the actors/action within it, then this is a viable alternative for you too.

Either way I hope one of these ideas helps you.

I second that some of the 'educational' sex videos might be a good palce sto start.

My ex girlfriend wondered the same thing when I told her I look at porn a good bit, I recommend buying a porn DVD from Ann Summers (although paying for porn seems a weird thing to do when theirs an endless amount available online for free)

We went into the Dublin AS store and we asked them had they any "female friendly porn" and it turned out that they did, their was a porn DVD we bought that was directed by a femele director (Anna Spain I think) and trust me this one was VERY female friendly (it had a bit of a story to it) and not like the vast majority of stuff you'll see if you search via google
