i am trying to sell a boards member one of my AEGs and I was wondering if it was possible to post AEGs as a parcel to another address within the R. of Ireland? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The same way you'd post almost anything...Put it in a box and bring it to the post office.

I'm sure they scan the parcels right? Also do I need to include a written statement stating the nature of the contents?

Scan? Like X-Ray them? No, they don't. And you only have to declare whats inside the box when its leaving the country. So no, no statement is needed.

I used to use An Post to ship all the guns I sold when I started Eirsoft - there are no issues.

Just wrap the box well so the contents cant be seen and you'll be fine.

Can I ask Shiva or anyone. Due to the recent attempted plane bombs, is an post going to start scanning the packages? I thought it'd be naive or unsafe for them to not scan them.

No, they wont be scanned for internal shipment.
