    just wondering whats the youngest age you can wean a calf at under the suckler rules as i am going to wean any calves the right age before the buget :rolleyes:

    The minium age is 8 weeks. But make sure you have your meals introduced 4 weeks before weaning. (on paper at least).

    Its a risky business weaning on paper only. I had an unannounced spot check last week from the department. They checked everthing. they had a complete list of everything and made a bee line to the cows to see if I had been weaning as stated:eek:
