I recently got my laptop back from The Techguys a while back and Ive noticed that just over the keyboard on the left hand side its fairly warm, but on the right hand side its cold.
Even is its just idle, nothings running on it, the fan is going mad. It used to be a lot quiter but now its just none stop noisy fan.
Could it be something blocking the fan, or dust? Why only on the left hand side?
Even with a USB base/fan underneath it, does`nt do much for it and I dont want to bring it back to The Techguys, cause I did`nt get it back until 3 months later and that was after 4 returns.. Any advice would be great, cheers!

Pff, sounds like a shoddy job alright. USB powered cooling is likely counter productive, your're increasing the heat inside and not helping the cooling much.

Could be dirty, or it may well be a badly seated cooler. Re-applying cpu paste and re-seating the cooler is an easy enough job.
