    A Chairde,

Have FTA system, and got a solid satellite dish. Early last week, lost a lot of channels (RT, MoviesForMen etc ...) with "weak, no signal"

I have dish fixed to my chimney pot, and think the wind may have moved it, should I look at getting a perforated dish ??

    Would this help ....

Perforated dishes have HIGHER wind loading!

last less time... (cheaper to make and ship)

So, no. Just make sure fitted properly!

Of course if it's a Lidl/Aldi Dish, the brackets are rubbish and bend in the wind,

    Triax are good.

Bought the dish from SAOR with an Edison box, hopefully just moved in the wind.

You should consider moving it from your chimney how is it fixed there?

    12,

You may be right ... got most of channels back by slight alteration in dish direction ... brackets are not bent, and unit did not loosen in winds .. must have just moved slightly and caused signal to weaken

Did you install the dish yourself? What type of bracket is holding the dish to the chimney?

    12,

Yeah, first time installing a dish, used a satellite meter similar to this

    http://www.satellitetv.ie/shop/index.php?controller=product&path=45&product_id=146

The face plate was fixed to chimney with frame fixers, and has an L-Shaped pipe connected to face plate the dish is on the cylindrical pipe and has u brackets to move the dish in the direction required.
