Missing a JB collection

I am due to collect my JB on Wednesday at the post office, I don't need to sign on this week. However, I've just found out that my father has had a heart attack and is in hospital. I am going to travel down there tomorrow (Dublin - Cork) but I'm not sure if I'll be back for Wednesday morning. Does this mean I lose out on a payment? Obviously I'm going to go anyway - family is more important - but I just wanted to see if anyone here knows if I can put it down as holidays or is there some sort of process for this? Thanks.
