After tonight’s disgusting behaviour of RTE, tonight and last weekend, not to mention the ridiculous salaries paid to RTE presenters, I feel it’s time to say to RTE enough is enough .

I would like to start a campaign emailing RTE and your local TD to inform them you are withholding paying license fee until some real change occurs in our state broadcaster:mad:

They've heard all the excuses and none of them work

I agree. It costs too much for the rubbish that they put out.

If people on a national level decided against paying the licence fee then there's not a whole lot they'll be able to do about it.

How long would it take to bring 2 million people to court?

Sorry. I'm from a place where they don't speak English. Glasgow.

If you don't pay it and they put it up/down(lol) you have to pay the new amount.

Happened to me about 4 years ago, post budget rise.

I have never paid a TV licence and I never will...

What are the benefits of paying one just out of curiosity? Am I missing out on something here?

I haven't paid mine since about April/May(posted this here in AH) and I will go to every length not to until 'i get caught'.

What happened tonight where RTE alone out of all the journo's present refused to ask the serious questions to FF at the press conference and then cut off the TV3's journo when he asked the serious questions has made me more determined never ever to pay it.

Jaysus, if that's the case I'd better pay it twice...

Never have paid a tv licence and never will, never been called to, got sent a letter once, about 5 years ago, was never followed up on, compare to a friend who paid his, then didnt py the renewal and they were on him like a fly on sh1t, once you're on the grid you aint getting off.

Its a piece of piss and it will never get that far. You tell them you don't have a tv, sign a declaration and that is it.

Do you have to pay if you just have one to hook an Xbox up to?
