Dear Boards I have searched and searched for a solution to my problem but I cant find an answer so I have finally registered on here, my problem is I have been using a sky+ Hd box just for the free stations, and all along I was using the UK epg, but today I have taken the box out as, She who must be obeyed wants to watch X factor and I'm a celebrity in HD and I cannot get the Uk epg back, I have tried unplugging the box, removing the card etc, I have just forced a software update but still the Irish epg wont go away, I already know how to tune in extra channels etc, so no real big problem as I can get ITV hd anyway, but I just want the UK epg back, can anybody help me please,
I have been thinking that maybe sky have done something to the box as no matter how many times I try to get back the UK epg nothing is working for me.

i have been saying this for ages on the forums but i agree with you. the new sky+HD boxes have all the epg cached on the HDD so you cannot go back to the uk epg by turning the box off or removing the card. unless someone knows some other way i cant think of any. i have tried them all. turning off and removing the card, trying the sky news trick but none work anymore.

denis1501, I might be able to get my hands on one of those old blue and yellow cards, can I just ask why, will it bring back the Uk epg?

If it's an old blue and yellow UK card then yes, it should bring back the UK epg. Also a white UK FTV one borrowed from a friend for a few minutes!

let me know how you lads get on. or if you have a free card going spare as i cant change the epg on my hd box at all

cartman I was unable to do anything with the epg, I have seen on here that the epg trick does not work anymore, so were stuck with the Irish epg for now.

just like i thought. once again sky have been too clever. im sure if you have no recordings and do a full system reset with no card in it will go back to the uk epg and clear the cache but you dont want to loose everything you have on it

Its a bit of a pain not being able to get the UK EPG anymore, I'm sure as soon as someone finds out how to get it they will post it here.

a right pain especially if you wanted to record other channels like you used to be able to do. im sure someone will find a workaround. people here swear it can be done on the hd box but it cant since sky updated the software a while ago.

If you can get a white uk ftv card you can record free to air channels so long as you put the channels you wish to record in other channels first.

Then insert ftv card in box then switch off at the mains then on,

Then insert irish card in box and you can record.

Thanks for all the replies people, I am thinking that it may be better to leave this thread alone for now as the epg trick no longer works, hopefully this weekend I will try and get a FTV card from Sky, if not no biggie, I will just keep watching the dreambox for now, once again thanks to all for replies.

I have just picked up a second hand HD+ Box and can get UK EPG by plugging it out, putting old FTV (dark blue Sky house card) into box and switching back on power. However I can only get UK EPG for that day and if I remove card and switch off using remote it appears to default back to Irish EPG.
Any way I can get full UK EPG (ie for 7 days) on the box?
Do I need to leave FTV card in box to keep UK EPG?

    Advice/assistance appreciated...

    Just solved mine.

I went into installer menu and I set it to single feed as I do only have one feed, and voila the epg is perfect now. :)

Anybody, any other idea for a dual feed Sky+HD setup....other than an FTV card?

    Thanks.
