Black screen as soon I ......

    Hi,
    Maybe someone can help me.
    Since yesterday evening a strange thing is happening if I use my laptop with the battery everything is normal but as soon I plug in the charger the screen goes black. If I switch the laptop off and leave it to charge it charges normally.
    Another thing that I've tried is that if I take out the battery and try to run it with the charger it boots normally and as soon the start up is done it goes black.

    The model is Compaq Presario cq60.

    any help is much appreciated.

    It might be motherboard failure. I had same issue with my Acer Aspire 4910
