Luas on the Road

    Just driving back from the cinema, sitting at the lights in Cabinteely and a super long truck goes by with a Luas on the back :eek:

    Very odd sight, 6/7 segments with the rear drivers position missing, gap covered in sheeting. Very odd sight, can only assume it failed in such way they could not recover it on track. Not something you see every day :)

    Thread Title made me think of how handy it might be if the Luas could transport itself from line to line via the road? Obviously it would need wheels etc but would be quite practical for users, but I guess unrealistic

    Its a new 5000 series tram being delivered from France via Rosslare, its too long for one truck so its split in two

    Down the N11, left Brewery Rd, then reverse into the depot at Sandyford and off load
