Hi folks, first time running the Connemara Ultra in April and would really appreciate any recommendations from past ultra route runners on where to stay? Don't really want to spend lots of time on a bus to get to the starting line...
I have had a look at the Conn website and they recommend Peacocks hotel as the best place to stay for the ultra route but they are booked up already!

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks a mill!

You're lucky Peacock's is booked up. Horrible place. I stayed in the best western last year. Short jog into town for the bus on the morning of the race and a nice hotel.

Stay anywhere in Clifden, e.g. The Station House Hotel, or any of the B&Bs in the central part of town. Short jog to the Station House to get on the bus with all of the other ultra runners, and then around 30 minutes each way on the bus.
