Is everyone else mad at fianna fail(ure)?
When do you think the next general election will be?
    Odds are 1/16 for 2011, 10/1 for 2012 on paddypower.com

    You've got a 10 second head start.

If a FF candidate came calling I would probably just close the door, saying nothing at all. I don't feel like anything I have to say to them, or the Greens, would make any difference whatsoever, so what's the point? They don't listen.

CordiallyScofflaw won't be happy with this thread!

Personally, I'd hope that it were one of my two FF TD's (it never has been, and I don't exactly live in the middle of nowhere), Me Feiner extraordinaire Ned O' Keeffe (google him if you need to, he's a moron), or parish pump jockey Michael Ahern.

The two of them have a bit of a rivalry going, and only speak in the Dail when they want to feather their nests, or get a veiled dig in against one another.

To answer the question, I could engage with either of them, and try logic, but I would more likely tell them to go and fornicate themselves.

I don't live in the area where my vote is

I tell all candidates this and send them on their way.

Where do you start? do you list their catalalogue of failures alphabetically or chronologically ? Or maybe divide them into sub headings. Corruption. Cronyism. Economic Treason or just incompetent.

I will find it very hard to be civil to any FF’er who calls at my door. I doubt they’ll call though

Burn a copy of the constitution in front of him.

Go back to the dining room and pull a chair into the hall, pick up a copy of the list of things that they've done that have sickened me, and then sit down and say "OK, so - explain yourselves." (and possibly: "You've got two minutes before I empty the contents of my cesspit over you").

Interrupt them every time they start bull****ting or lying (which I reckon would be every 2 seconds)

Then, when they inevitably get confused by the unfamiliar concept of telling the truth and not being able to waffle and lie unchallenged, follow them up the road, calling in to every house handing out the same list as soon as anyone answers the door to them.

Id say "sorry, wont vote FF no matter what you say, there is no point wasting your time" ad close the door.

Challenge them to explain the policy differences between FF and Fine Geal

Tell them I'm not interested and close the door.

Yeah I'm mad as hell, but I was raised with manners! :pac:

Actually with all the "I can't wait til I can give them a piece of my mind" posts I've seen on boards, I wonder what reactions have been encountered up in Donegal?

FF - door to door canvasing ???? Surely they wouldn't engage in such 'populist nonsense'.

I would tell them I never have voted for them and probably never will. At the same time I would advise him (or her) to keep her head down, and try again after the next election.

    Fianna Fail will be back.

FG have not been in power for the past ten years, so how could they have delivered anything?

I'd ask him if he was lost.
