Temp Filling

I got a temporary filling yesterday and when I work up this morning it was gone. After I left the dentist I noticed it was a bit chalkey and bits of it were coming off but I thought that it was normal  and just setting?

I'm now left with a big hole in my tooth and anytime I eat the food is getting stuck there and I have to get a tooth pick to remove it

I can feel a slight twinge of pain starting now but I'm wondering is it ok to leave it like that til Monday when the dentist opens? (It is on a root canaled back molar which has a very bad infection at the moment - he took the filling out to clean it out and will be finishing it next week)

You can buy some temp filling in the chemists shop and go back to the dentist next week.
