***HELP** IPhone Mail not working

I'm hoping someone can help me, I have my Hotmail account set up in the Mail Icon in my IPhone 3gs since I got my phone a year ago and have had no problems but since yesterday, when I hit the Mail Icon it goes to my Inbox as normal but when it's checking for new mail it takes longer than usual then I get this message popping up... "Cannot Get Mail, the user name or password for "pop3.live.com" is incorrect"...... yet I have not touched the settings and confirmed that my password has not been changed. Also I've tried from scratch to set it all up again but same error message.

Anyone else having this problem or can help me in anyway??

I'm having the same problem. One hotmail account works fine but the other wont open at all. I've an ip4.

delete the account in settings
add account, select microsoft exchange
put the email address in descripton and username, fill in the password, tap next
server is m.hotmail.com tap next
ya can have it sync contacts and calendars aswell as email so select which ya want and tap save

ya can now turn off fetch because the emails will now be pushed to the phone as they come in

Thanks for the help Guil but that won't work either, all seems OK until I try refresh my inbox and again it's saying my passwords wrong. My password is definitely not wrong btw.

go to the account in setting and make sure the password is the same in the outgoing mail server, i changed the password before but not in there and i got that message a few times

hhhm, cant find that particular setting but when I hit my mail now it says "Enter the password for the Exchange account "Exchange" "

i cant remember exactly but tap on the account and tap advanced or smtp server
when ya set it up and tapped microsoft exchange, did ya put the full email address in the email and username box

Aw sweet it worked, thanks so much man, bidding on something important on ebay so really needed my mail working while on the move. I hadn't put my e-mail in the username like you suggested, seems to be working fine now. Cheers Pal

Hi,
had problem with hotmail few days ago. Followed instuctions from thread and all sorted until yesterday. Now I realise that i cannot send mail. There are a bunch of messages "sending 1 of 10" since last evening. When i tap mail,conta....etc a page opens which now has under accs heading: 2 hotmail acs(i reckon there should only be 1 but Im afraid to delete 1 in case I lose all my mail. then under this where it says "fetch new data" I have push. Anyone know how to get it back to normal?? thanks
