Fair play. They are 3 fine pheasants indeed & 2 drakes to top it off!

That dog is in fine condition. Great definition of the shoulder also. Often the sign of a good working dog as opposed to the couck potato type lab :D

I have contemplated a black lab for the next addition to the clan.
    How would you rate em??

i got my dog just over 5 1/2 years ago from a buddy of mine my sons birthday was coming up and i said he could have a lab we went down but dan wanted to bring them all home  after 20 mins this one stood out bold fighting and standing his ground first year was in between just getting the basics done no real shooting during the summer things changed bringing him rabbit shooting eased of as bit just walking him and sit stay mode ducks came first days shooting on drains we shot 8 mallards over him i seen something in him he was and still sets his game now and again he is strong but will fight his corner with any dog i bring him out shooting as much as i can and thats a lot roost shooting i think is one of the best forms of training getting him to sit and stay with shots going of all around him and not letting him pick up until i finished up shooting last good evening i had i shot 35 pigeons and took 45 mins to pick them all up black dark in the woods he loves it i bring him for deer stalking and have not lost a deer with him i even bring him lamping foxes no problem picking them up the main problem is lads dont work there dogs enough on everything there not going to master them all but you can find out what suits the dog and bring him on sorry for the long reply at the moment i have a 7 week old pup here now after him and like the story goes like father like son i hope
