It's the only movie I've ever properly cried at. Even grown men in the cinema had tears in their eyes. There's no way I could ever watch it again - too much emotional trauma!

I knew how it was going to end so when marley started to get sick I just stopped watching, never seen the ending, never intend to see it either, too sad:o

yep, bawled like a little girl. I brought my sister with me, she was 9 months pregnant and didn't realise that it was a sad movie, I was afraid she'd go into labour on the spot!

Yea, bawled my eyes out. Seen it in the cinema, was trying not to concentrate on it, was with a girl from work so didn't wanna make a show of myself.

Watched it a few weeks ago with the boyfriend. I was seriously traumatised by it. Only film I have properly cried at. Don't think I could ever watch it again.

I remember watching it on my own and The Hubby walked in towards the end and I was nearly being sick from crying. He was confused to say the least. So ya,I cried like a baby..too sad

Getting there

I had to wait for 10mins in the dark cinema t let my red swollen eyes depuff. It was embarrassing t say the least.


But.......I was not the only one who stayed behind!

Watched it on an Aer Lingus flight to New York. Spent the first half an hour apologising to the girl next me because she was watching a different movie and I was laughing uproariously with earphones on my head - must have looked like a right nutter!

Spent the last half an hour trying to stifle my sobs and discretely dabbing my swollen, bloodshot eyes on my cuff. Soooooooo embarrassing. That film was so manipulative!

Yep, the tears rolled uncontrollably down my cheeks.
Don't think I'll Cld ever watch it again, and wldnt let my mum watch it. It wld kill her!

I watched it with my closest friend, whose not an animal person and she Cldnt understand why I was crying. Think I embarrassed her!ha!

It was marketed for families and kids. It was just some awful morose movie about a dog dieing (actually, is that even what happened, I've kind of forgotten...), but I remember it was long and just awful, lol.

I was going to mention this. I think I cried for the majority of that movie, it's amazing, but so damn sad.

Movies about dogs seem to be the only ones I cry at, Marley and Me, My Dog Skip, Hatchi, etc. I bawled for all of them.

Didn't cry during marley & me but by god did I bawl my eyes out at Hachi, saddest film EVER and it takes a lot to make me cry. :eek: There's only 3 films that make me cry every time, hachi, the notebook and city of angels.

I watched it with my lab, it was like watching her life all over. she was the female marley. Yep i cried hard at the end.
Since then my lab died and it would break my heart to watch the film again.

Dont know what the hullabaloo is about this film... its a corny, predictable, badly made pay-day for jennifer aniston and owen wilson! Its not that Im heartless or dont care for dogs either.. I have had a golden labrador for 14 years and will be in bits when she goes but that film is terrible!! :pac:

I love the book, got all weepy at the end.

~Turner and Hooch was on TV3 earlier today. I watched the first bit then switched off coz I knew I'd cry.

I've not watched marley and me because I cry even thinking about it. No way would I be able to sit through it!

I dunno. Thought it was a crap film (mediocre acting/script/directing/etc), and usually whenever it comes to animals I cry-- I even felt a lump in my throat in I Am Legend (I've always had Sheps!) and can't go to rescue/pound websites because I get depressed for the abandoned dogs. But Marley and Me (the movie) did nothing for me.. book did, though Was in bits after that.

Ye lot would commit suicide after watching Old Yeller if you're that sad after Marley and Me! Now THAT is a depressing movie.

Turner and Hooch is totaly worth thesad bit cus I laugh mao through most of it.

I cried my eyes out, I think you'd want to be pretty heartless not to lol! Even my sister's boyfriend who was complaining about watching a stupid, soppy film and isn't an animal person shed a few tears.

It made me cry the most out of any film I've seen.

I was in pieces come the end of that movie - even though we all knew how it was going to end!! It wasn't so much Marley's story that got to me, it just made me think of all the dogs I've lost throughout the years and then I got really upset!!

I watched it in Fuerteventura on my laptop with my wife and we knew how it was going to end but both of us were inconsolable. All I wanted was to go home and be with my little lady who was in my in-laws having the time of her life!

I never saw it and stopped reading the book once someone told me it was sad. :rolleyes: I cant rationalise why I would watch a film that makes me miserable!

I keep refusing to watch it as I know I'll sop, I'll hold my two doggies and sob. I don't want to think of them getting old and dying, their only 1 and 2.
