Is scent by itself a sign of paranormal activity?

I lived in place before where I would be the only person there and in the middle of the room I would smell perfume. Or else some food even when I cooked nothing.

My mother died when I was 2, when alive she was a heavy smoker. She used to live in my house when she was alive before I bought the house from my Dad and Step Mother 25 years later. Sometimes I will walk in my bedroom (which used to be her room) and smell cigarette smoke, it's really weird as neither myself or my bf smoke or ever have nor do guests.

Scent is cited as one of the commonest signs that people say they get of spirit contact.

the smell of tobacco or perfume in a room is often explained,if you walk into many victorian houses during the day,you will smell tobacco ect,the tobacco/snuff or perfume is ingrained in the furniture, when it gets warm, sunlight or the room heats up,you may smell it.hope this helps explain it

I had thought of that to be honest as I know smoke can be a stubborn smell to shift however this house has been gutted in the last 4 year, almost nothing in it is original and the smoke smell is only in one room, my mother's old bedroom. Maybe I'm clutching at straws, I don't know???

its not cluching at straws,i am sure she is still with you,if you get a warm feeling when walking into the room, that is more of a indicator, ask in your mind for a sign and i am sure she will give it,
