    Sometime to smile about:

    Over last weekend in Chicago Wicklow was awarded second place overall
    and a Gold award as being the most livable community in the world.

    This has got to be good for business and tourism.

    This video was created to support Wicklow in the entry of the 2010 Livcom awards in Chicago USA.

    Being stuck in another county I would have to agree Wicklow is so much more tolerable than other places in Ireland, nowhere is perfect but Wicklow has a lot of life in it and a great atmosphere, amazing scenery and great community spirit.

    its nice and all but most liveable in the world, I don' think so...

    what about the enormous cost of living
    reasonably high crime rate
    high suicide rate (in Ireland as a whole)
    whole sale government incompetence and corruption
    Many parts of Wicklow become inaccessible in winter due to snow ans ice.

    and so forth, definitely in terms of Ireland one of the best places but by no means best in the world IMO

    I think everyone involved deserves credit for putting together the video and I don't want to sound like a whinger/begrudger but there are several things that the LivCom judges (thankfully) over looked a corrupt planning process, health services in the county and lack of facilities in towns.
