Apparently "farmers" would "wake up if I was in charge".

He was talking in the context of business people having places in cabinet. This from a failed business man, catering I believe. He also would cancel childrens benefit, which I believe should be means tested.

So I sent him off a little text.

    Jackass

He hasn't a clue about much really just a platform to mouth off. He must have seen a programme on Sky+ on farming to become such an expert.

I wonder now if he'll read it out or not. They keep saying they're not biased reading out texts!

He had a go at hunting before I believe. Not good for JohnGalway when the only alternative is "Angry Wilson" who I refuse to listen to in case a blood vessel bursts from shouting at the radio :D

George Hook has to keep people talking about George Hook, to keep himself in a job, as he has nothing useful to offer any debate, so if everyone just ignores him he will go away eventually

In fairness news talk has improved with Claire Byrne going to RTE, she hadn't a clue about some of the news stories she covered on farming and economics. She be total for and biased for one side of an argument then switch the opposite week when someone obviously sat her down and explained it. She thought Tesco lowering their prices and replacing their Irish products with UK was good for her, consumers and the Irish economy. Ivan Yeates was miles ahead of her in interviews.

George still doesn't have a clue, thinks everything is black and white.

Was listening to him a few days ago on the radio and I couldn't my ears...so patronising, even a bit fascist at points...One thing for sure he doesn't reply on twitter. I'll try to call next time see if I can ask him a few questions. Then again, I wouldn't really expect someone of his age to sit - listen and understand.. He should retire and relieve us from his conservative, subnormal views.
