Why do anything? Sure isn't it great just sitting back and blaming the Government.

    Procrastination Nation.

We love it. Giving out. Private sector giving out about public sector. Public sector giving out about the public sector. Government giving out about the opposition. It goes on and on and on.

I'm just trying to figure out what it would actually take for the people, as in a groundswell of people, to get up off their asses and take to the streets.

Like in france, the country is shut down because of tax increases to petrol.

We're sitting here today watching our government taking the country down the pan with it. Saving face, saving face. The same old bs politics.

Wednesday Lenihan says; no no no, we don't need a bailout.
Thursday evening Lenihan say; well, actually... you'll never guess...
Today, I'm sure he'll say that he has been championing a bailout since this whole crisis began.

    What will it take?

So what are you planning to do?

I was thinking occupation but I think that might be taking it to far; more likely though? A really earth shattering scandal that shows the bank bailout to government was clearly linked to corrupt officials in the government and parts of finacial regulators. It would also need to be ongoing reveals of more details, more debauchery and have our politicans make an utter and complete horse face out of themselves (that part should not be to hard) with excess luxuary, expenses etc. It should also show that the once saved by the bank bailout was the party favourites or that some got it etc.

This would need to detonate shortly after the government reveals a series of cuts and increased taxes which will hit everyone's wallet in a really painful way. Preferably combined with cuts in disability care/nursery and schools to bring out the "think of X" brigades as well.

Knew I should have included my end to procrastination.

For me, I'm fed up, and willing to take to the streets to demand an election. Just fed up to the teeth that this continues to drag on and on and on.

I would also like to immobilise the country.

now that's the type of action we need.

I was with the government right up until this.

This is a disaster. Accepting this loan at this point is utterly retarded.

We were going through a hard time for sure but nothing like the trouble we'll start buy accepting this money.

It was raising the Pension age by 2 years, and the protests cost the country billions. Also lets not forget that bar a few shopfronts smashed in and cars burnt all the protests achieved precisely none of their aim.

The point I'm trying to make is that every bloody person I speak to, is fed up with the government, and yet do nothing about it. We will have ourselves to blame when FF do their usual cockups and we stood idly by
