    Hi all,

All of a sudden yesterday I noticed that when viewing a youtube video etc in Chrome I have no sound. Yet, they work no problem in IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera.

Is that not a bit weird? Obviously I thought it was a problem with my speakers at first but when sound works everywhere else its a bit strange!!

    No virus detected!

    Thanks

Check your sound mixer to make sure chrome is turned up and not muted?

Well I checked my settings in Control Panel but I don't see anything that gives you the option to mute sounds for browers!

Yeah, sorry. I got mixed up there. I taught this happened to me before with chrome but it was actually with skype.

Have you installed any extensions/add-ons to chrome recently? Maybe try a reinstall?

No not that I am aware of. I am afraid if I uninstall Chrome I will loose all my beloved bookmarks! haha Might be the only option though!

Had a quick gander at that, my mixer doesn't have anything for Chrome though!

    Ok its working now!!

I removed it then reinstalled it, still didn't work but all of the a sudden Chrome appeared in my sound mixer and the volume was down!

Some how it wasn't showing in my mixer before this!! Isn't it a mad world altogether??
