Preliminary Exam Exemption Confusion

    Hi everyone,

On the Law Society's website it states that

Who is exempt from the Preliminary Examination?
    (1) Graduates
University graduates from Ireland and the United Kingdom or holders of degrees (regardless of the discipline) awarded by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC) are exempt from this examination. Holders of such degrees are not required to apply for exemption from the Preliminary Examination but they must provide a certified copy of their degree certificate when applying to sit the Final Examination - First Part.

Now here is where I am confused.

    1. I went to an IT not a University....am I still exempt
    2. My degree is an ordinary degree (level 7) not an honours degree (level 8) does this mean I'm not exempt?

I emailed the law society almost a year ago and got no reply to this query, send another email again tonight but im not exactly expecting a reply and was hoping somebody could answer this for me?
