    Anyone watching??

Can someone explain to me how the **** this week in Ireland a topical comedy panel show can kick off with the first topic of a royal wedding followed by Gerry Adams and not make any mention of the IMF or the country being bailed out???

I know... But on this week to kick off about a stupid royal wedding is just ludicrous.

maybe they wanted to start with good news? maybe they wanted to give the Bailout a more central location on the show? maybe they are conspiring to annoy you?

all of the above are possibilities essentially though it all boils down to a giant barrel of "meh" does it not?

Or maybe they are just idiots and have no idea how to put on anything resembling a half funny television programme.

I gave it 5 mins and it was awful so I'm out. Horrendous programme.

Haven't watched it in years myself it definitely isn't as good as it used to be you would miss Darragh O Brian. Why do RTE seem to fail at recreating formats that the BBC seem to knock out with ease? but thats another thread

Good show tonight... That guy Brendan certainly adds a lot to the panel, instead of having somebody completely vacuous in the chair... Lot of good one liners... Delamere still the best on the show

A reasonable episode. I too would rather Darragh present it. What happened to the token female though?

It's an appalling attempt to be Have I Got News For You. If I see Craig Doyle's smug on the UPC ad again I'll go mad.

Have I got New for You mentioned both, and did it far better. For a nation supposedly famous for "the craic", we produce some fairly sh*t comedy...

On a positive note, Irish comedian David O'Doherty was the guest presenter tonight on the funniest episode of Nevermind The Buzzcocks that i have seen in quite some time. On the BBC of course.

isn't the show recorded a day or so before hand? so maybe once the IMF have gone and next week they'll probabley cover it

Yeah, I saw him on Republic Of Telly.. It makes such a change to have somebody who contributes sitting in that chair.. If they replaced Maxwell as well, the show would have real potential..

Are you for real?! His jokes are all the same and go on and on and on.... One of the worst things about the panal. I noticed half way through one of his jokes/impersonations the other guys where trying to get a joke in but couldnt cause delamere takes up too much time with his wobble!

Yes it is, Darragh said it one show years ago. He said they record a few intro's to go with what was on prev, as in like a football match with ireland, if we win they but in 'ireland won the match!', if we loose the match they put in 'we lost'

    Complete rubbish show!

Just flicked on to the repeat of this. Andrew Maxwell's movember looks like it is painted on with a mascara brush

Absolutely, he seems to be the only one who puts in the effort in advance... .. .. instead of being like (lazy) Maxwell, who puts on funny voices instead of actually making up real jokes..
