Hi! First time poster so go easy! I know similar topics have been covered already but can't find exact response to my problem.

I had intended to wrap the first floor slab in a membrane prior to installing. However this did not happen on site.. unfortunately.
I now have the slabs on and intend to drop the the ceiling (MF Ceiling) and fit plasterboard below, leaving gap for services.

My question is how can I best make the slab airtight now ie after the slabs have been set on with no membrane around them. My thoughts were possibly a membrane at the perimiter and where slabs meet but not sure how exactly this would work. Would another option be put sand/cement at perimiter?

I would appreciate all thoughts and opinions/suggestions.

ps Great forum... have beeen a long time lurker and found it very interesting and finally decided to post.

    P,
Not so easy, block the open ends of the HC first with concrete. Maybe airtight mastic to the top of the block that the HC is sittting on and bring the membrane from this over the HC for the first row of blocks as was planned. Maybe bring your scratch coat up to the HC when the time comes?

Thanks for the reply... The ends of the slabs are filled with concrete so that is a help but not sure if this would be fully airtight? Just would like to get it as airtoght as possible prior to installing the ceiling.
