Transfering Money to the UK

Hi all, I need to transfer money (GBP5500) to the UK and am looking for the best rate from Euro to GBP, I spoke to BOI and they quote me their regular rate of exchange plus the usual costs.... I don't mind paying the fee's but the ROE they are offering is not great and I am sure there must be a better way to transfer this…
