Do Irish banks buy Irish bonds?

Moderators: this thread is not the same as a similarly titled thread elsewhere on this page, because it deals not with Anglo but actually bonds that are sold as Irish state bonds.

We know, or we can infer, that the ECB have been buying up Irish state bonds as part of an unofficial state bailout. However, I am wondering who else is in the market for buying Irish bonds?
    Presumably... banks.
When the main Irish banks were re-capitalised, it was commonly understood that they would spend their re-capitalisation (initially) investing in the international bond market. And why not the Irish bond market.
Have they invested in Irish bonds, and therefore will they be the ultimate benefactors of these high yielding bonds? Is there any clear way of establishing this?

There is a similar thread on here that deals with Anglo bonds and who holds them, but that is another issue altogether. I actually think the issue of who the Irish bond holders are is a far more pertinent question.
