Sky news identify witness - why?

    Sky news are runing live footage of an incident in Sunningdale near London. Looks like 4 people arrested as part of a possible kidnapping.

    Anyway, the Sky anchorman is currently talking to an eye witness, who helped police apprehend one of the suspects.
    All good so far, but was it really wise to name the guy & the shop he works in? Makes any possible retribution so much easier, idiotic & dangerous imo.
