    The way he's talking in the video, it's as if he wants a hiding as punishment for all the mistakes he's made in his life.

    The guy has probably inspired more people to take up martial arts than anyone else (apart from Bruce Lee). He has a lot to be proud of so it's sad to see him so fragile.

    I think your dead right, sounds like he's getting in the ring for all the wrong reasons, that fight would never be allowed go ahead if it wasnt for him being famous.
    Has the guy even fought since the 80's? If he wants to compete he should at least be made do a few amature fights...

    ... that said Im still going to watch it haha

    I thought he was just a ballet dancer who learned a few moves, according to wikipedia he was a pretty serious fighter too.

    only thing i notice is that Van Damme was a middle weight in his last fight and this lad seems to be a feather weight so there is a considerable size difference there..

    Cool, it seems the winner of the fight will get a shot at the world champion.

    Being realistic, does JVCD have any chance at all? Clearly an excellent fighter, but way too old and a body abused by drugs.

    It would be something else if he could pull it off!

    Due to head to Vegas in May but might push it back if it means I can see the fight.
