she is happy with her own phone so suggested i take advantage of the upgrade to get my hands on the new iphone.

i am a vodafone simply customer and intend to stay that way. i am not willing to sign up to a 18 month contract due to the fact i will more than likely be emigrating within the next 12 months.

my question is... will O2 unlock the iphone soon as my mam upgrades so I can use it on vodafone?? i presume she will have to feed them some cock and bull story regarding needing to use a foreign sim card while abroad for example??

she would continue to pay the contract amount with o2 given that its much the same as her current outgoings on her O2 bill
