Just wondering if there is a motor out there for a family with 4 kids under 5?

The ages are 1 months x 2, 18 months and 4.5 years. Is there any motor around which takes all the car seats and a double buggy and extra stuff??

    Budget is around 15k!

    Thanks,

    Branners

I'll be needing 4 car seats, as far I know I cant dump the twins in the boot :D so am looking more at the Ford Galaxy; Opel Zafira or Citroen C4 Picasso. Just wondering if any of these can handle my requirements?

How would the misses feel about hopping in the boot!?

Have you had a look at any 7 seater jeeps? Would be nice to avoid biting the MPV bullet.

Are you calling my missus a boot??? :D

I asked if she was open to holding onto to the outside of the roof but was surprised to her negative reaction!

Transporter , Scudo or Hiace type passenger yoke is the only option I reckon.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Multimac is a company that thought outside the box and came up with this:

Not cheap, but if you already have a family size saloon or estate it might be a solution. And you would not have to buy one of those awful 7 seat buses / MPVs / SUVs :)

Get a large saloon and this seat. No need for the crappy zafira type yoke.
IMO this is also a hell of alot safer that many of those people carriers that seat the kid within a couple of inches of the rear window.

Can you fit one of those legally here? Seeing as your car seat count is on your vehicle licencing cert and your insurer makes assumptions based on it...

This would be outside your budget, but does have the seven seats. I'm not sure how much room would be left for the buggy however.

Thats a good point. Check with insurer I guess.

Espace, merc v220/viano c8, ullysse, 807, sedona, grand voyager would all do the job, they're all pretty dire though.

    Maybe a caravelle?

Right price cars have a fleet of transporter 1.9 and 2.5 06 models within budget. Some are auto. They're advertised as caravelles but aren't. Price is ok, I'd sooner have a new shape transporter than an old shape caravelle

Citroen C4 Picasso is good. My old boss had one, its very comfortable and good spec. Renault Espace is excellent also and has a strong diesel engine. Also incredibly comfortable and plenty of gadgets and toys. Seats are modular if memory serves so you can take one out to allow extra luggage space.
