Mihai Fosca (KTP) v Eugene McAuley (SFT)

Potential fight of the night. Have been impressed with Mihai at Tuffnut shows over the past 18 months, with the right coaching I think he could go all the way.

And on the last show in Kilkenny, Eugene made the most impressive pro debut I have ever seen, fierce standup and gnp, really exciting prospect.

Hey gonna buy tickets for this. What what i remember if the fighter sells the tickets they get a commission or something like that.

Anyway i'm in kildare/carlow so if any fighters from around that area with tickets (ringside x2) want to drop me a pm.

Better then giving ticketmaster their handling fee:rolleyes:

Yeah all tickets sold by fighters/clubs will result in commission

As the title says it's prediction time again folks!!!! Same as always anyone who predicts all the outcomes gets Ringside passes to the next Cage Contender show!!

This time the next show is CAGE CONTENDER IX : BELFAST : 30 APRIL which will see the return of our CC Tourneys when Moore, Lapenas, Haddock and McCrory battle it out to crown the Cage Contender Light Heavyweight Champion. Plus an undercard featuring Damo Rooney in another UK top ten match up!!

Another batch of tickets went out this morning, from tomorrow all fighters on the card will have their tickets for sale, if you want to save the booking fees and help the fighters make a few more euros buy your tickets direct from them.

There are limited Cageside tickets with the fighters and Ticketmaster only have 16 of 250 left, they also have 39 of 300 reserved left. Our TV ads begin on Thursday so if you need any of these type of ticket you might be better to get them before then

As most of you will be aware CAGE CONTENDER have carried out random drug tests from our very first show.

From CAGE CONTENDER VIII : DUBLIN forward we will be carrying out 5 random drug tests per show. The fighters to be tested will be drawn at random by our referees at each event.

If you've carried out testing since the first event, what substances have you checked for?

Is it based on Olympic testing or just adhoc to check the presence of PEDs? Are recreational drugs illegal under your rules?

There is no IF about it, it's fact.

When I get the list from ther medics I will post it (as far as I know it is PEDs)

The medical team bring the kits etc, they look after the tests etc.

I also think this is something that other promotions should start to do

Are the fighters made aware prior to signing for a fight what can and cannot be taken as 'supplementation'?

I mean, using the standards for rugby several inhalors including ventalin would be illegal for use...but i watched a fighter use one in a ring at a show last year (not Cage Contender btw) and then come out fighting for the second round
