Once there was a bunny named Oscar
    He loved to hop
like a real bunnyhopper only can
    Alas

    One day
    Tragedy struck

    Oscar was bitten
    by a red evil fox
    right in the leg
    and oscar lost a foot

    Now Oscar hops
    sad and filled with pain
    in a ziggy-zaggy way
    through the plain

    When other bunnyhoppers see Oscar
    they all start to laugh
    and when he isn't watching
they hop and hop and hop
    in a ziggy-zaggy way.

    It isn't true!

The fox took a nibble of Oscars leg.
Oscar started to weep & beg.

The fox briefly contemplated deep issues like the sanctity of life, whether a vegetarian diet would really be an option, or whether he should just obey his hunger.

Oscar started limping off, leaving a trail of delicious little bunny blood drops behind him. The fox followed him , still in deep thought, absentmindedly licking up every delicious drop of blood as he went.

After a few drops, the fox realised that it was his manifest destiny to remain a carnivore. He followed Oscar, increasing his pace to a quick trot.

    What happens next?

At this stage Reynard is on a haemoglobin high, and is rapidly catching up on Oscar....

Hmmm.... this isnt getting anywhere so I'll be brief.

Oscar made it into his wabbit hole safely. Over time his leg got better. Reynard grew up to be a wolf. One day he was walking along the road when he saw a lovely juicy piggy living in a straw house....the rest is history.

But then Oscar found a hole to hide in, the fox got bored and left, his leg healed up nicely and he lived happily ever after.

    THE END.

    Directors Cut Ending

Night was setting in and Oscar was struggling to find a place to rest. The fox had been tracking him for 21 hours and Oscar thought he heard a twig break in the undergrowth behind him. Just then as a cloud passed in front of the moon, Oscar recognised a familiar looking bush. With every last ounce of strength he could muster he hopped himself towards where he knew the rabbit hole would be. Just as the hole appeared over the horizon the noise behind Oscar grew louder. Like a freight train gaining on him he knew it was hopeless. Oscar made one last hop and dive toward the opening in the ground only to feel teeth sink into his leg. As the moon disappeared behind another cloud Oscar drew his final few breaths.

    THE END

    Directors cut ending Redux

Oscar made one last hop and dive toward the opening in the ground only to feel teeth sink into his leg.... Just then, Oscar saw one of the evil bunnyhoppers who used to always laugh at him behind his back. "Look fox" he gasped, " that one over there is much more juicy & succulent than I am" .

And, indeed it was true. Oscar was a tidy fit little fella but the evil BH was a fine fat scobe of a rabbit. Reynard saw the logic. He let go of Oscar, and in a swift leap he descended on the evil scobie BH & gobbled him all up.

Oscar lived happily ever after & the wicked Bunnyhoppers never, ever, tormented him again.

    THE END
