I currently have a Cyfra sub and an al jazeera sub and I have previously had a Digitalb sub. At present I am very happy with my set uo as my cyfra card has not yet missed a man united match this season:) and JSC is great for when theres nothing else on tv so you can watch a rerun of some match in English.

I had that digitalB supersport card once, it was superb. Just a real pity that you cant get supersports on it's own anymore

Sky+ HD (All channels bar the movies), Sky Italia HD (Mondo+Sport+Calcio), Al Jazeera 1-10 card, Tring Card, Feeesat HD and 2 other Sat receivers to pull in FTA stuff on hotbird and 19E.

I used to have Art Sports a few years back for 2 years i think, then had Digitalb for 2 years (HD for the last year). I had German Premiere (Now Sky DE) 3 years ago and it was a waste of time, worst sub i ever had.

Cyfra. I subscribed to Canal +, Movies and Sport.
Polsat. I use this mainly for Eurosport 1 and 2 HD and the Polsat Sport channels.
Al Jazeera. This is cracking value.

To all you guys who have a Cyfra+ card - what equipment do you use it with?

    I think the options are
    - buy an origional Cyfra Polish receiver!
    - any receiver with ci slot and dedicated seca cam
    - linux box with card reader and softcam (mgacam, cccam...), or dedicated seca cam in ci slot, or a mix of both

I know there can be issues with the activation and the monthly keep alive updates.

Never had a sub before (not even sly ftv card) or a dedicated (or programmable) cam, so not sure what's exactly needed. Doing a lot of reading and just getting confused.

Just looking to dip my toe in this area, so any help appreciated.

Looking at satsklep for options, as recommended by others.

I use a Technomate TM 6900 HD Combo Super+ with official Cyfra HD cam. I have no issues with receiving the keep alive updates. No issues at all.

I have an Edision Argus mini 2in1 IP box and just updated to the unofficial firmware - simple as that, no activation of the card required and no keep-alive issues.

    byte

Having had both the TM6900 and now the Vu+, the Vu beats it hands down, no question.

But only after a bit of tinkering. And, to be fair, it's less daunting than I first expected the Vu+ to be.

That said, the TM6900 is still a fantastic plug n' play box.
