I've just had an operation recently and i'm just wondering what the best foods would be to help with recovery? I already have a pretty clean diet but i'm wondering if you have any good suggestions

9:00am 3 egg omelette / porridge and protein shake

12:30pm 2*Tuna sandwich with tomato, lettuce and cheese on brown bread

3:00pm Tea and a few fistful of cashews

6:00pm Dinner - 2 Chicken breasts/ Mince / 2* salmon dairnes with scallions, peppers, broccoli and potatoes

8:30pm Would usually be gym followed by pwo shake which would be composed of a 1/2 ratio of protein/glucose. Operation put a stop to this though :(

10:00pm Cashew Nuts / Toasted ham, tomato, cheese, lettuce sandwich / Leftovers from dinner if there was any

I also take glucosamine and multivitamin tablets from myprotein, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening

Id say adjust your diet to compensate for lack of training but DO NOT eat anything less than maintenance. Your body needs to heal now and the best foods will be whole foods - protein rich and fat rich. Your diet looks fairly grand now. Make sure the brown bread is actually brown and not white bread colored brown as most slice pans are.

If your having a sandwich at lunch, there's no need for one at 10pm.

lots of meat, fish, nuts, seeds, veg especially green, oats, cottage cheese, nat yogurt, greek yogurt, eggs, EVOO, avacado etc

You might put on a little weight but eating at maintenance and eating whole foods - it won't be all that concerning. Let your body heal itself and then when you are back on your feet, it will all click back into place in no time
