Glow plug light flashing - VW BORA TDI

I changed the 4 plugs in a VW Bora TDI a few months back. Now the light is flashing again. I've also noticed that the Temp Gauge isn't working properly. Sometimes it stays at "cold" but in the car is up a running for over an hour.

    Any ideas?

Plugs were changed at 130k miles. Car now touching 145k.

With regard to the temp gauge mine went last year and was giving me horribly stupid temperatures.

The solution was replacing the coolant temp sender (very common problem) and that fixed it.

I didnt get a flashing GP light but I guess my sender was still working in a sense but just sending nonsensical information to the gauge.

It seems yours is just not sending anything and could be throwing up an error.

The dodgy senders are black and the replacement should be green (sometimes blue. Different connections, confusing for me to work out)
