OK, this might seem like a strange statement to make, but there was a semi decent article in the News of the World yesterday about free tv.

The author mentioned Saorview and how there were currently 5 tv channels available on it plus the radio stations. He also mentioned Freesat the main channels available on it, he then mentioned the fact that if you don't renew your sky subscription after the initial 12 months, the box/dish is still of use to you.

All in all, it was not a bad article. The author got most of the information required across in an easy to read format and even gave a mention to freesat.ie and satellite.ie

It should be noted that I am not normally a News of the World reader, I only was browsing through it for the sports reports :)

Surprised that Murdoch owned media would give information on free tv.

Not a bad article at all. I think there was a little inaccuracy but I can't remember what it was. (I'm getting old...)
The Murdoch thing never occured to me :D
