Was reading an article in the Irish Mail, about lotto scanners not working right.
A woman scanned her winning ticket in dublin and laois and the machines told her it was not a winner  I only ever use these, how many winners have I thrown in the bin:(
Did this ever happen to you

I always check them on the website, I wouldn't trust one of those scanner things.

Check it on the lotto.ie website. You have to put all the numbers in and its a pain in the hole but its always right.

I don't trust scanners either. Checked a ticket on the website and it said i won 23 quid...went into the shop and scanned it just to make sure and it said it wasn't a winner.
      Bastards

This is true. I've checked my tickets a couple of time over the course of the week using scanners and found they missed twice during the last couple of years.

I've twice had tickets scanned for me and they said no win. When i checked the numbers meself online, they were winners, only small amounts but still..check it yourself online, those machines are crap.

      So, i might have won?

Seriously, you have a better chance of dying before the draw takes place than actually having the winning numbers.;)

You'd think they'd have a method where you could just bang in a 12 digit string from the keyboard or something. I'm guessing they thought it'd be more "fun" for people to slowly click the lovely coloured buttons.
