    Hi all,

ok, I've to get to leopardstown on Tuesday and I'm having no luck with google maps... I even tried bing... that's how bad it got

I've to get to Microsofts EDC which is in South County Business Park

I'll be going southbound on the m50... and so far I've been told to take exit 13, 14 and 15... so I've no idea what the story is...

I reckon it's the Dundrum/Sandyford exit but I'm not familiar with the area... So anyone know which exit it actually is?

    Thanks for any help

take the one AFTER the Dundrum exit, (not sure what number it is) when you come off you'll immediately come to a roundabout, go straight through and keep going to the next roundabout, take a left at that roundabout and drive straight till you come to a t junction where you take a rite, there will be 2 lanes approaching that t junction so stay in the right one, once you've taking that right turn the Microsoft building is just there on your left you cant miss it!!

    These are the EDC buildings:

The long snake shaped one is building 2, the square'ish one with the partial glass roof is building 1. Reception at both will be able to tell you where to go, and both have plenty of car park spaces for visitors.

Take exit 14 if you're going southbound (I think it's marked as Dun Laoghaire), and you'll see Bewleys Hotel and Vodafone on the right after you've exited the M50, at the roundabout take the right most exit (also marked for Leopardstown hostpital), it's a small estate of mostly IT companies (Softex, SoftCo, Salesforce, ICON, MSD are also in here), Microsoft is located at the very end, after the Red Oak buildings (currently unoccupied).

If you do end up getting off at the wrong exit, don't panic, you can drive through Sandyford Industrial Estate to the same roundabout.

If you hit Cornelscourt/Carrickmines (exit 15) you've gone too far, and will need to turn back.

The confusion is that, looking at a maps program, parts of exit 13 and 14 overlap each other (and exit 13 has a slip road all the way to Dundrum). Exit 14 is also missing a Northbound off ramp, and South Bound on ramp (this shouldn't effect you).

Using exit 14 would be best, but 13 just means you use the parallel local road as far as 14. If you over shoot, it probably best to turn at junction 15 and head back (an alternative would be to go via Ballyogan Road, but that gets messy).

One option would be to get the Luas Green line as far as Central Park stop, but its a 1.2km walk. There is a short cut through the Leopardstown Park Hospital grounds. The stop is approximately midway between these points: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=53.26708,-6.197512&spn=0.002955,0.008234&t=h&z=18

J13 will be the longest route
J14 will be the most direct
J15 may be the quickest (traffic at J14 can be bad in the morning)

I say this from someone who travels south on the M50.

If you get off at J15, take the first exit off the roundabout at the top of the ramp (Racecourse). Follow the road, taking it easy over the vicious speed bumps. You'll pass through the Westwood car park, and the entrance to the racecourse stand.

You end up coming out on Leoplardstown Road-turn left (no right turn anway) and South County Business Park is the first exit off the roundabout.
