    Hi All,

I'm looking to get my 1989 E30 M3 fully resprayed , I want to get a grade A spray job . I've seen alot of re sprays latley by, I was told very good shops but while they may be good the attention to detail doesn't seem to be present .
Its not that they can't do it right its that they don't seem to take the time to do it. If you point the blemishes on a newly finished paint job out to em they say fair enough we'll put that right so if i can see it they definitly can see it.
Anyways can anyone recommend a grade a paint shop in munster ?

    Thanks.

Pat Hegarty in Marina Crash Repairs is brilliant, but my first choice would be Body Image in Ballincollig. Dev there is one of the best painters I've seen, the finish he can get straight from the gun is outstanding.

Liam Brennan in Blackpool in cork is good too. Done a bit of work for me when I was in the trade as well as some friends of mine and I can't fault his work

    Thanks for the replys ,

I'll give these guys a call early in the new year for some quotes .

Any ideas ballpark how much it should cost for a glass out resparay if I do all the dissassembly and reassembly myself ?

Very little body work required , the only reason I'm spraying it is the previous owner in his wisdom decided he wanted a metallic fleck going through the original red colour , Im not sure if he resprayed it totally or just put a coat of laqueur with a metallic fleck over the original paint because on the wing mirrors the lacquer is lifting and under it just seems to be the flat original red.

    Thanks.

Best in Limerick is Align Auto Repairs, Dock Road. Manager is John O'Brien, 061-309138.

Did a dent on wing of my car and colour was a shade out. Wouldn't let me have it back until it was perfect ... he re-did it three times to get it right, and gave the paint sales rep an earful over it. Of course didn't charge me for the extra work.

DO NOT GO TO BODYIMAGE...cowboys, absolute cowboys ted, Had motorbike sprayed with them and faded, I have heard nothing but bad things about them, dodgey crash repairs aswell...Declan Dunne has done alot of work for me for cheap, very good with a gun

They're not cowboys at all. I've used them in the past dozens and dozens of times, their work is top notch, and everyone's entitled to an off-day once in a while.

PaintDoctor on here is good from what I've seen/heard!

I'm no Michelangelo, but for an entire body respray, he's as best off taking it to a bodyshop with a sterile oven/booth free from dust. Thanks for the Kudos though :)

Depends how much detail and quality of finish, varies alot

    From 1500 - 2500+ really

ive had a front end spray done by bodyimage on twin cam, paint flaked within a year, brother had a job done on his motorbike, paint faded within 6 months!..talked to forge hill crash repairs and bart and bart repairs and they both said they always get work to repair what body image has done..get a quote off dunne repairs on the spray (087)2394301 ..he does great work
