there is nothing more annoying than going on a night out, feeling good, cute dress on and yet static electricity keeps bringing up the dress!

Thank god for the drinks cos it would of bug me all night:o

Anyone had that happened and got a miracle solution to it beside NOT wearing the dress;)

Use an anti-static fabric conditioner (one of those easy ironing ones usually does the trick) or wear an old fashioned slip. I'd go for the fabric conditioner!

Oh and if you tumble dry the dress, use a tumble dryer sheet, it takes out the static too.

Did someone once mention about using hairsprey on the inside of the dress to reduce static cling or did my Monday morning mind just make that up?

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

No, you didn't make it up - my mother is always telling me to use hairspray on my trousers to get rid of the vpl from them clinging to me.

But smokers beware of that trick, could end badly.

I'd go for the anti static conditioner/tumble dryer sheets myself.

Yep, hairspray is a good trick but I think it wears off a little. I ended up buying a short black slip to go underneath! The first time Ive had a slip on since my communion day Id say!! But its actually great. Check maybe Arnotts or HoF or somewear but bring the dress with you to make sure it cant be seen or that will defeat the purpose.

    Thanks girls

Will try the hairspray, I do usually wear a slip inderneath static dress but this one already has a slip but cotton not rayon so the mousseline part of the dress ( above the cotton slip) keep sticking to the cotton slip..if you know what i mean in case i lost you there ;)

Anyway, will have a try with the spray first !!

    Ladies,

I had this issue last week - a bit of hairspray did the trick and lasted all day / evening!
