I'm surprised that the 3 series is up there, given that the 320d can give turbo, flywheel and ABS unit problems, and the 318i ED can give engine coil/injectors/NOX sensor problems. They'd surely be two of the most popular variants would they not?

The 3 series might be reliable in the eyes of fleet companies who never have them more then 3 years.

Its once they go out of their warranty period that they become unacceptably problematic for a supposedly premium car.

Surprised to see the Fiesta rather than the Mondeo.

this is from the UK where everyone doesnt buy bog spec, id say theres a fair few 325s and the like making up that percentage, and petrol 318s and 320s, the UK arent as afraid of petrol as we are

don't believe this is at all true, same as here a very high percentage of 3 series sold are 320d or lower in the UK. In fleets it would be even higher again, very few petrol or 6 cylinders in fleets in UK due to company tax rates. Prob 99% 320ds and 318ds.

On the OP, this is a standard enough result for fleet surveys.
