Does anyone have any advice on which would be the best option to buy?

Some people have said go with the new clio, others have said go with the Hyundai.

What do the experts on here think and why?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers

100% Clio, just avoid the dire 1.2 petrol and get the 1.5Dci. Family member has one and it very impressive for a small car.

is the new 1.2 petrol really dire? Have a budget of 11.5k and it fits with my budget considering the scrappage scheme.

is the 1.5Dci alot more expensive?

Ill just put it out there, but you could get yourself a 5DR Yaris for that money. For one it would hold its value much better.

I had a 1.2 for a few days and compared to the 1.5 it was slow and very thirsty as you had to rev the guts out of it to get anywhere, and at motorway speeds was revving like mad. Even the dealer commented on how thirsty it was.

Now this was the estate version, so the hatch will be lighter and it may be better suited. But the estate is not that much bigger than the 5 door.
